The client lead will deliver excellence in client account leadership to enable team growth, profitability and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will also deepen the relationship and drive excellence of the team and work with global counterparts while being responsible for the core central team based in Milan. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong client relationship management skills, establishing continuous and consistent communication, both formally and informally, to build a solid relationship of trust. Being present in key conversations with brands will be crucial, handling essential topics such as campaign briefings and development, reporting discussions, and addressing billing issues. The candidate must have a deep understanding of all ongoing activities, especially those managed by the local team leads in areas like eyewear and retail, ensuring seamless coordination. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for acting as the primary point of contact for the Italian market, ensuring that client needs and requests are met with efficiency and professionalism. Responsibilities This person will need to lead the team based in Milan and take responsibility for all the deliverables that are developed by the brand team. This means checking work before going to the client, having daily discussions with the coordination team in Milan to understand what is happening on the business, and solving issues with the clients on their behalf. It also means having the seniority to manage hard conversations in a respectful manner, with our clients, our local markets, and our leadership. Keeping strong relationships with all stakeholders is very important on this account based on the past. Specifically, you will be responsible for: Be responsible for our global coordination team, supporting them in their growth and development; Manage the client relationship through effective communication, problem solving, and responsiveness; Provide thought leadership through a deep understanding of client challenges to become a trusted advisor; Build strong relationships with global counterparts across the agency network; Support the global client lead in identifying opportunity areas for driving business growth; Collaborate with other business functions such as finance, data, analytics; Take responsibility for the work produced by the teams and escalate on their behalf with clients or global teams; Support for the global client lead. Be someone who can step in when needed to answer questions and be a point person for a global client request. This means being a project manager, and delegating to the right people while ensuring the work is done on time and with accuracy. This also means supporting in larger, future-forward projects such as: working with GCL on the development of quarterly all-market presentations, key project tracking (e.g., GrowthOS), etc; Accountability for Publicis Media deliverables. This means being on top of Budget Control, business growth opportunities, client commitment/revenue management, commercial and finance discussions. Qualifications 8+ years of agency experience History of client leadership roles Global/International experience (strongly preferred) Understanding of the digital media ecosystem History of managing other individuals FMCG or Food category experience (preferred but not required) Strategy background Familiarity with activation and financial reconciliation Prior agency experience preferred; client experience acceptable Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of programs Data management (ability to read and interpret data) Project management skills Highly organized Strong communicator Problem solver Team player; willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done if needed Adaptable; able to pivot Time management; need to optimize working hours across tasks and regions English fluency is a must as this is a global role along with Italian French is a nice to have Bachelor's degree or country equivalent Additional information What we offer: Learning & Development: a personalized learning path, an individual approach based on your needs, always on!
