MSIM Global Liquidity Solutions Group is a liquidity management team comprised of dedicated portfolio management, trading, client service, product, sales, and relationship management professionals. We empower treasury professionals to achieve their unique objectives with a suite of industry leading market expertise, technology, and investment solutions. The platform currently manages over $400 billion for a diverse group of clients. We are recruiting and sales and relationship management person to cover a defined group of corporate and municipal clients across a 17 state territory anchored in California. The qualified candidate will execute a dual focused strategy focused on new business development alongside client retention and growth. The sales and relationship management efforts will focus on CashInvest platform (a MMF and cash management portal) and the supporting fund and separate account solutions. The position is supported by a dedicated sales desk, product management group, and cross-divisional sales team.
The primary functional responsibilities are as follows:
Proactively manage and grow existing client relationshipsDevelop a ground-up sales/business development plan for a defined group of corporate and municipal prospects across the geographyCoordinate closely with MS Investment Banking and Capital Markets Coordinate and partner as needed with the existing San Fran based Large Market sales personDevelop and organize marketing opportunities within the territoryUndertake a disciplined territory management effortRequirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degreeDeep knowledge of the corporate treasury and cash management spaceSales experience preferred – desire to sell and build relationships requiredKnowledge of the money markets and liquidity fundsTravel requiredExcellent communication skillsHave or obtain Series 7 licenseThe position is based on the West Coast and we are flexible on the office location.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $125,000 and $175,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
