The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details. **MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE** This position will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of MUFG’s global leadership and executive development programmes. This role will play a critical part in shaping the bank’s leadership capability by partnering with internal and external stakeholders to create high-impact learning solutions that support MUFG’s growth, sustainability, and strategic priorities. This position will coordinate closely with regional TL&C leads and Talent Management partners to ensure a consistent and cohesive global approach to leadership development, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth across all levels of leadership. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** Leadership Development Strategy & Programme Design + Design, develop, and continuous enhancement of global leadership development programmes for executives and high-potential leaders. + Manage the alignment and integration of design principles and assessment methodologies across all current and future executive learning programmes, anchored to MUFG’s Global Leadership Competency Framework. + Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., HR Business Partners, Talent Management, and Business Leaders) to align learning initiatives with business objectives. + Drive the harmonisation of assessment tools and development methodologies across all existing and new executive learning interventions. + Provide strategic input to ensure executive learning supports leadership readiness, succession planning, and cultural alignment. + Collaborate with external learning providers, business schools, and leadership development consultants to deliver world-class executive leadership development experiences. + Ensure a consistent and integrated approach to leadership development across the globe. Programme Management and Delivery + Source potential partners / vendors to provide the most optimum leadership development solution. + Manage the end-to-end delivery of executive learning programmes, ensuring high-quality execution and measurable impact, in coordination with HR team members in Tokyo and the TLC leads in the three regions. + Facilitate leadership development workshops, executive coaching, and learning experiences for senior leaders when required. + Manage L&D resource planning. Stakeholder Management & Regional Coordination + Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and senior business leaders on leadership development needs. + Work closely with regional TL&C leads to adapt and implement global programmes while considering regional business needs. + Manage relationships with external training providers, academic institutions, and consultants to ensure best-in-class Measurement, Learning Analytics & Continuous Programme Improvement + Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and track the impact of executive leadership development initiatives. + Evaluate programme effectiveness and implement a continuous improvement cycle informed by data, business needs, insights, and participant feedback. + Stay informed on emerging leadership development trends and best practices to enhance MUFG’s learning strategy. + Due to the global nature of this role, occasional participation in out of hours calls will be required. **WORK EXPERIENCE** + Significant experience (7+ years) in leadership development solutions design and delivery, executive coaching, or corporate learning within a global financial services or multinational organisation. + Proven track record in managing global learning interventions. + Experience in partnering with senior executives and managing complex stakeholder relationships. + Sound knowledge in leadership frameworks, talent development, and executive coaching practices. + Experience in managing external learning providers, business schools, and executive coaching firms to co-design and deliver leadership development solutions. + Knowledge of leadership assessment tools and methodologies (e.g. psychometric assessments, 360-degree feedback). **SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE** Functional / Technical Competencies + Strategic Thinking - Ability to align learning initiatives with MUFG’s business goals and leadership priorities with a strong commercial sense. + Leadership Development Solutioning – Deep understanding of leadership assessment tools, adult learning principles, and instructional design. + Project Management - Strong organisational skills to manage multiple learning initiatives at global scale. + Stakeholder Management - Ability to influence and collaborate with global / regional business leaders and HR teams. + Innovation & Agility - Forward-thinking approach to learning design, incorporating digital and experiential learning methods. Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities and high visibility. + Learning Facilitation - Strong facilitation skills for engaging senior stakeholders and delivering impactful learning experiences. + Cultural Awareness - Ability to work effectively across diverse global teams and regions in a matrix and culturally diverse international work environment. The typical base pay range for this role is between $112,000 - $139,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
