Global Lead, Biologicals Permitting and Compliance

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to lead global permitting and compliance programs for biologicals, including microbes, insects, and fungi, subject to pre-commercial regulation. This role ensures the seamless execution of regulatory requirements for domestic transport, importation, field trials, and contained use of regulated biological materials. The successful candidate will play a critical role in enabling R&D operations, maintaining global compliance standards, and fostering strong relationships with regulatory agencies.

What You’ll Do:

Lead Corteva’s global permitting strategy for regulated biologicals, including domestic and international transport, field trials, and contained use.Develop and maintain global policies that:Ensure consistent compliance standards across regions.Enable timely and accurate communication of permit and compliance data.Support automated compliance systems and master data accuracy.Prepare and submit U.S. permit applications with scientific data to support R&D activities.Establish and maintain positive working relationships with USDA-APHIS, PPQ, and BRS.Manage the end-to-end process for permits involving regulated species, primarily  being developed to support innovative Crop Health products.Provide technical support for biological approvals in international markets.Maintain and update internal procedures to ensure alignment with U.S. government regulations.Train and inform staff on approval conditions, restrictions, and corrective actions.Coordinate the non-modified biologicals compliance system, ensuring timely and accurate data entry.Represent Corteva at key industry associations focused on biologicals permitting and compliance.

What Skills You Need:

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in biology, microbiology, entomology, regulatory affairs, or a related field.8+ years of proven experience in regulatory compliance, permitting, or government affairs related to biologicals.Strong understanding of USDA-APHIS regulations and permitting processes.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with regulatory agencies.Experience with compliance systems and data management tools.Ability to work cross-functionally and lead global initiatives.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
