What You'll Do

As Software Engineer Manager, you will have overall technical responsibility for design, development and technical support of BCG's global HR applications. You will be part HR Products Portfolio and work with a team of internal and external developers, as well as a cross-functional team consisting of Project Managers, Business Analysts, & others to provide high quality applications which respond to and meet the business needs of the entire BCG organization. You will be expected to participate in hands-on development activities as well as providing technical guidance and oversight to successfully execute projects. Have overall responsibility for the health of our HR applications, in terms of quality of the program code and operational effectiveness, from a technical standpoint. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is also essential.

What You'll Bring

Education

College degree and 9-11 years of experience in the development of business applications in a commercial IT setting, or in consulting

Experience/Knowledge

Strong experience developing standards-compliant Web applications using front-end Web technologies such as Angular 5 and above, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, JSON, XML etc.Significant experience developing Web applications/services with Microsoft ASP.NET/MVC, C# and Node.Strong experience with a commercial RDBMS, preferably Oracle or SQL Server and No SQL like MongoDB.Strong experience with code versioning tools Git/TFS.Experience with cloud-native platform development, preferably AWS and Azure; GCP is good to haveDBT command and Snowflake experience is good to haveExperience in Docker Containerization Technologies is good to haveExperience working and supporting external application development providers.Good to have some knowledge of mobile application development experience, especially with iOS.

Design and develop Web applications built with the Microsoft stack (.Net Core, API), Oracle RDBMS, SQL Server,No SQL and IIS Web configuration/management.SOA & Microservices architecture implementation using REST APIs, queue-based messaging patterns, exposure to Mulesoft/Kong is a plusDevelopment experience in Microsoft .Net Framework and experience in Front-end JavaScript frameworks like Angular & ReactExperience working on AI/Gen AI implementations and underlying architecture, and modelsHaving sound knowledge of Dev-Sec-Ops & Dev-Ops.Setting up/Maintaining integrations with SaaS/Cloud based applications.Experience of IAM Security.Troubleshoot reported production tickets and provide timely analysis and resolutionStay abreast of development tools, trends and practices, and act as an advocate and promoter for items that should be considered for future initiativesDirect external developers, providing technical guidance and performing code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to group standards.Keeping IT Roadmap in mind, being an IT thought partner to the business and creating highly scalable applications.Keeping Technical Debt to the bare minimum.Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with product owners/ business analysts and understand requirements carefully and execute.Participate in Agile ceremonies to deliver on the squad mission and working in an Agile environment
