What You'll Do
BCG’s Productivity & Collaboration Platforms team is seeking a Global IT Configuration Engineer Senior Manager – M365 & Google Workspace Platform Enablement to help lead enablement and optimization of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace services across the enterprise. This role will focus on secure administration, automation, user experience improvements, and service evolution within both ecosystems.
The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise, a mindset for continuous improvement, and the ability to support technical governance and cross-functional collaboration across a global environment.
In partnership with other platform SMEs, your duties will include:
Administering and optimizing Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace services including Gmail, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Drive, Chrome, Calendar, Gemini and Meet.Leading discovery and baseline initiatives across licensing, access, and identity across both platforms.Supporting platform-level lifecycle and provisioning design, including license automation, group-based access control, and OU structure planning.Collaborating on identity integrations (e.g., Okta, Azure AD) and supporting secure SSO and access controls.Developing scripts and automation workflows (e.g., PowerShell, Apps Script, Python) for identity, license, and configuration automation.Coordinating with internal teams on coexistence, interoperability, and user migration scenarios.Assisting in platform governance and policy enforcement, with a focus on compliance, security, and usage controls.Participating in pilot enablement for user onboarding, auditing, and secure rollout.Monitoring performance and availability and providing input on user experience improvements.Creating and maintaining technical documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles, and guides that support IT Service Center and Operations.Providing guidance on adoption strategies and change enablement across user groups.YOU’RE GOOD AT
Balancing execution and enablement across multiple collaboration platforms.Navigating administrative portals and APIs for both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.Translating discovery insights into governance improvements and automation workflows.Writing and maintaining scripts for automation, reporting, and configuration management.Solving technical challenges independently while also collaborating effectively across teams.Translating platform capabilities into real-world use cases and improvements.Automating repetitive admin tasks and reporting processes.Collaborating cross-functionally while maintaining clarity on ownership and accountability.Communicating clearly and confidently with peers, stakeholders, and end users.What You'll Bring
10+ years of experience supporting and administering collaboration platforms in an enterprise setting.Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments, including hands-on experience with Teams, Exchange Online, Gmail, SharePoint, Drive, and Meet.Experience integrating or managing identity platforms such as Okta, Entra ID (Azure AD), or Google Cloud Identity integrations.Strong scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, Google Apps Script, GAM, Python, or similar languages.Working knowledge of security, compliance and governance enforcement in SaaS environments.Experience with enterprise support frameworks, workflows, and stakeholder engagement.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 certifications are preferred but not required.Who You'll Work With
You will collaborate with global teams across Identity & Access, Messaging, Information Security, and Collaboration Services to ensure a secure, streamlined, and consistent experience across both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. You’ll also partner with change and adoption teams to support user enablement and feedback loops for continuous improvement.
