About the job

 

The Global IBP GPL (Global Process Lead) is a strategic leader within the Integrated Business Planning Center of Excellence (CoE), responsible for defining, standardizing, and continuously advancing the company’s end‑to‑end IBP processes. This role ensures a best‑in‑class, digitally enabled planning capability that seamlessly aligns demand, supply, and financial plans with Sanofi’s strategic objectives.

As the global steward of the IBP framework, the GPL brings deep expertise in demand forecasting, supply planning, financial integration, and consensus‑driven decision making. The role drives harmonization across Planning, Finance, Commercial, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain functions—championing process excellence, digital innovation, and robust governance.

The role leads global process governance, accelerates business value realization, and cultivates planning maturity and consistency across regions, Global Business Units (GBUs), sites and Markets.

 

Key Accountabilities

Global IBP Process Leadership

Define, document, and maintain end‑to‑end IBP processes (Levels 2–5), including demand review, supply review, integrated reconciliation, and executive review cycles (MBRs).Act as the process authority for all IBP‑related global initiatives, policies, and improvement programs, in alignment with the Sanofi Core Model.

 

Core Model Stewardship & Maturity

Own the IBP components of the Core Model, continuously refining them to meet evolving business requirements.Lead maturity assessments and gap analyses to drive process standardization and performance improvement.

 

Cross‑Functional Integration

Partner with Planning, Commercial, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Finance GPLs to ensure fully integrated, consensus‑based planning cycles.Facilitate cross‑domain alignment to ensure coherent decision making and scenario planning across the business.

 

Digital Transformation & Tool Governance

Oversee the global deployment and continuous enhancement of IBP planning platforms .Define user requirements, prioritize system enhancements, and champion automation and analytics capabilities.

 

Strategic Change Enablement

Lead transformational initiatives to simplify and harmonize planning processes, enabling business agility and faster decision‑making.Influence senior stakeholders on planning best practices, master data governance, and compliance standards.

 

Global Governance & Communication

Establish and govern GOPs, playbooks, training materials, and governance forums for the IBP community.Drive consistent adoption of IBP processes through sponsorship, structured communication, and change management.

Leadership of the Global IBP Community

Foster a vibrant community of practice to accelerate IBP maturity and build internal capability by providing guidance, training, and best‑practice sharing.

Audit & Compliance Readiness

Ensure IBP processes and systems are audit‑ready, with strong control frameworks and documented evidence of compliance.Collaborate with Internal Audit and Controlling to support control self‑assessments (CSAs) and regulatory requirements.

About you

 

Skills/Expertise/Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in experience in IBP, S&OP, or integrated planning roles within a complex, matrixed, and multinational environment—preferably in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries.

Proven expertise in leading process governance, digital transformation, and change initiatives for inventory or supply chain functions.

Deep knowledge of IBP platforms (Kinaxis) and advanced analytics tools; ability to translate business requirements into digital solutions.

Fluent in English (verbal and written); proficiency in French or other languages is a plus.

Preferred Skills/Expertise/Experience

Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills with experience in data-driven decision-making, performance tracking, and KPI/dashboard development.

Skilled in scenario planning, risk-benefit analysis, and structured problem-solving approaches.

Demonstrated ability to lead and influence without authority in a cross-functional, multicultural environment.

High comfort level with ambiguity and transformation, with a strong orientation toward simplification and continuous improvement.

Adept at stakeholder engagement and internal “marketing” of new ideas, processes, or digital tools.
