Job PurposeThe Global IBP Analyst holds a reporting line to the Global IBP Director and assumes responsibility for conceiving, developing, and executing end-to-end analytics solutions for the Global IBP organization as well as supporting business units with IBP Analytics, as per global defined standards. The Global IBP Analyst is an integral part of the IBP team, which operates globally and comprises of the Global IBP team reporting to ExCo member responsible for CSD and diverse professionals stationed across different locations, reporting to the BU MDs. The Global IBP team's overarching objectives are to improve predictability in volume, revenue and margin planning, reducing bias in plans and ensuring integration across functions in driving a singular plan.
Working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, the Global IBP Analyst will play a pivotal role in defining analytics strategies, identifying opportunities to improve business forecastability, and providing actionable insights that contribute to the organization's overall objectives. They will be responsible for creating key reports and analysis for Corporate IBP, that help make evidence-based proposals for risk mitigation and gap closing for volume, revenue, margin and inventory and will work on embedding use of these analytics/ reports across all the BUs.
Key Accountabilities Define and execute the analytics strategy in alignment with business goals, ensuring that it supports data-driven decision-making and delivers measurable value. Identify important insights in the data and summarize findings clearly with succinct reasons/ facts. Communicate the “narrative behind the numbers and make practical recommendations based on analysis Consolidate weekly demand forecast for rolling three months, analyze change in plan, prepare weekly report out to the CEO, CFO and other members of Executive Committee. Design and architect end-to-end reporting & analytics solutions, including data extraction, transformation, modeling, and visualization Translate IBP/ Business requirements into sustainable and scalable analytic models. Drive analytics and Create reports/ dashboards that IBP Commercial & IBP Supply will use to prepare for Monthly Corporate IBP cycle Check for completeness & integrity of actual and forwarding looking plan (volume, ASP, inventory) data. Perform volume, revenue, margin and inventory plan analytics to assess validity of plan and risks/upsides in plan by BU and BU-1 level. Lead the design and development of advanced analytics models, algorithms, and techniques, such as predictive modeling, machine learning, and data mining. Update monthly business analyses and release these in time for BU Integrated Reconciliation Meetings. Support the BUs in using these reports/ analytics. Drive CI to improve speed and ease of analytics. Devise new methods and procedures for collecting data and perform complex data analyses, recognizing patterns and trends in data Be the bow-tie partner between Global IBP and IT, translating IBP data& analytics needs into IT/IM use cases and assessing appropriateness of IT/IM solutions. Collaborate with IT team/backend developers to Ensure seamless IBP Power BI & other tool’s user experience Understand and translate business requirements to improve AkzoNobel developed IBP Power BI dashboard and other tools. Experience Educational degree or proven experience in statistics / data science, machine learning Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions. Ability to communicate effectively and manage senior stakeholders and run small projects Possess proactiveness, and the ability to gather information, critically read through it, and present it effectively. Ability to translate business requirements into visualizations, reports and powerpoint presentations Proven interest in global market and political developments, marketing, and market intelligence, and the ability to work effectively as a team player. Proven experience in Data Analysis and Visualization, Reporting and Dashboard development. Strong numeric ability and curiosity to interrogate data to draw business insights. Inclination to further develop & enhance data science skills, especially leveraging machine learning Proficiency in English Proficiency in managing, extracting/accessing, processing data from multiple sources (SAP/BI, Databricks etc) Proficiency in Excel, including VBA, for creating standardized templates and automation. Strong data modelling and data translation skills.
