Reporting directly to the SVP - Global Head of Markets Operations, this position is the Global Head of Portfolio Solutions Operations and lead teams across Sydney, Boston, India, UK and most recently Poland.
Markets Operations Business lines include Client Onboarding and Data Maintenance for all products and Operational support for Financing Solutions (including Agency lending, Secured Finance, Prime Services), Foreign Exchange, Collateral, Treasury, Portfolio Solutions (including Broker Dealer support, Transition Management, Partnered Trading, Currency Management), Regulatory Reporting, Business Optimization and Product teams.
We are looking for an industry leader with hands-on experience in Operational and Regional Management in a Markets business. The individual needs to exhibit a thorough understanding of how a banking operations team is run with knowledge of all allied functions, both upstream and downstream and how they all fit into the larger operating environment of the bank. The individual should be highly energetic, exhibiting executive presence, effective communication, stakeholder management and be adept at conflict resolution and influencing others.
Due to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

Support the Portfolio Solutions business across Sales Trading, Partnered Trading and Transition Management businesses including trade booking and settlement of equity and fixed income transactions across Global markets.Responsible for leading product expansion initiatives and establish Operating models to support the Business.The responsibility for Portfolio Solutions Markets IT related activities using global staff members and/or budget.Responsible for assisting the management of regulatory, reputational, and operational risk eventsOversee circa 30 FTEs across 6 locations driving staff engagement and retentionOversee third party vendor support ensuring adherence to SoWs and risk managementWhat we value

Lead and drive the transformation initiative to deliver a Global standardized operating model supported by new technology infrastructure.Focus on the control environment to drive a strong risk & control culture across the global teams to ensure processes are robust & compliant.Partner with Technology and the transformation lead for Mkt Ops to deliver a best-in-class E2E workflow solution, removing manual touchpoints and increasing STPPartner with other functions involved in E2E process to foster environment of process improvement to create efficient processes.Accountable for a strong governance to monitor and track BAU metrics, using data to identify issues to resolve and opportunities for improvement.Face off to senior stakeholders in Front Office to partner with and provide transparency into challenges and opportunities for improvementInitiate strategic projects to continue to evolve the Operating Model and drive the future vision of the function.Manage to budget, headcount and strategic investment.Drive the successful implementation of operations strategy and new operating model.Build or implement best practices and tools that ensure optimum utilization of resources.Stay abreast of all regulatory and market changes and ensure adherence and no impact to service standards as a result of these changes.Partner with ERM and compliance colleagues globally to ensure MO remains disciplined with respect to adherence to resiliency strategy, control assurance etc.Ensure adequate quality in terms of write ups of incidents, documentation of effective remedial actions, as well as timeliness around raising incidents in ICAMS in ensured.Ensure vendor oversight and hold them accountable to high standards of delivery.Education & Preferred Qualifications
20 years’ experience in Banking Operations in a large multi-national bankExperience in regulatory reporting is a plus. The individual should be highly energetic, exhibiting executive presence, effective communication, stakeholder management and be adept at conflict resolution and influencing others.Strong risk management and control focusA demonstrated ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environmentStrong verbal and written communication skills, ability to facilitate discussions and resolve conflicts between various stakeholders with competing interests.Key focus on identifying risks, enhancing controls and being able to drive innovation is essential.
