This role will be instrumental in shaping and driving our medical affairs strategy in the field of hematologic malignancies, ensuring scientific excellence, and improving patient outcomes worldwide.

Main Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Lead the global medical affairs strategy for the hematologic malignancies portfolio

Partner closely with R&D to optimize development plans and evidence generation

Collaborate with Specialty Care Franchises to deliver outstanding product launches

Drive scientific engagement with key external stakeholders

Medical Excellence

Ensure deep understanding of patients' and customers' needs in hematologic malignancies

Lead the development and implementation of medical strategies for products in the hematologic malignancies pipeline

Oversee late-phase data generation to evolve treatment paradigms and improve patient outcomes

Team Management

Build and lead innovative, agile, and diverse medical team structures

Current team has 4 direct reports

Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning

Develop high-performing capabilities to support Sanofi's "Play to Win" cultural transformation

Stakeholder Engagement

Represent Sanofi at high-level scientific and medical conferences in the field of hematology

Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and patient advocacy groups

Collaborate with regulatory affairs to ensure compliance and optimize product positioning

Innovation and Digital Transformation

Champion transformative digital initiatives within medical affairs

Promote the adoption of big data and digital solutions to enhance medical insights and decision-making

About You

Qualifications

Advanced degree in a scientific or medical field (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) required.

Specialization in hematology or oncology preferred, Clinical experience is highly valuable

Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5-7 years in medical affairs

Proven track record in global medical affairs leadership, preferably in hematology or oncology

Strong understanding of the global healthcare landscape, particularly in hematologic malignancies

Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and digital transformation in medical affairs

Experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives

Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus

Location

This position will be based in Cambridge, MA or Bridgewater, NJ

30-40% of frequent global travel required.

The salary range for this position is:

$228,750.00 - $381,250.00

All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
