To join our Data, Analytics and AI Team on a journey to become a high-performance team that enables Mercer to unlock increasing value from its data through analytics and AI.To be supported by a strong team of experts in Data Engineering, Architecture, Analysis, and Project Delivery who will work with you collaboratively to achieve the goals of your team.The ability to shape this new capability for the organization.We will rely on you to:
Lead strategically - guide and mentor a diverse team of 25 data scientists and business intelligence specialists, promoting professional development and encouraging ongoing learning and innovation.Leverage data in decisions - advocate for the value of data-driven insights across all levels of the organization including how you manage your team.Be a thought leader – explain the capabilities of your team to the broader organization and enable the art of the possible.Collaborate across functions – engage senior leadership and key stakeholders to identify business challenges and opportunities where data can drive value and with IT, operations, product and other departments to ensure seamless integration of data initiatives into business processes and systems.Innovate and define best practices - develop and execute a comprehensive MLOps strategy including model creation (classical ML, Fine-tuning LLM or Distillation), evaluation, and deployment, that aligns with the organization’s overall business objectives and enhances decision-making capabilities.Promote ethical AI usage - Abide by and champion enterprise frameworks to ensure AI compliance with relevant regulations.What you need to have
Strategic Leadership skills to guide and inspire a newly forming team and exert influence across the organisation.Must have experience running a data science team that has been able to deliver AI solutions to production.Hands on delivery experience at a senior level comfortable operating across multiple business lines and varying tech stacks.Experience working with and managing Business Intelligence platforms.What makes you stand out:
