We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Global Head of Compliance (GHC) to lead our global compliance strategy, ensuring alignment with complex regulatory environments and fostering trust with customers, regulators, and stakeholders.Role Overview
The Global Head of Compliance (GHC) will oversee all compliance-related activities at Guidewire. As a preeminent cloud services provider and the world leader in insurance software, our customers expect and require ongoing and proactive expertise and consultation on regulatory compliance for all matters related to our cloud service offerings, including in areas such as AI, data privacy, data residency, resilience transparency and security.
This executive will ensure full adherence to international, federal, and local regulations while acting as a public and customer facing representative for compliance matters. The GHC will collaborate across legal, risk, operations, and customer-facing teams to embed a culture of ethical compliance throughout the enterprise.
Job Description
Key ResponsibilitiesServe as Guidewire's public and customer facing executive for compliance-related matters.
Monitor, understand and advise on regulatory trends and ensure timely updates to both our compliance programs and our cloud service offerings (working with our product team) to address new or emerging requirements.
Partner in the development and enhancement of compliance policies and procedures, particularly as it relates to our cloud service offering.
Lead global compliance training and awareness initiatives across all employee levels.
Partner with our Internal Audit team to conduct regular compliance audits, risk assessments, and internal reviews to ensure policy alignment and mitigate risk.
Collaborate with internal departments and legal advisors to manage regulatory investigations, inquiries, and filings.
Liaise directly with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and industry associations on regulatory and compliance developments affecting us and our customers.
Manage and mature a compliance management system (CMS), leveraging AI to ensure advances in automation, reporting, and continuous improvement capabilities.
Oversee execution of all the regulatory compliance needs of Guidewire
Required Qualifications10+ years in compliance, regulatory, or legal leadership roles within the Saas/cloud industry.
Proven experience engaging with customers and regulators, and leading external compliance communications.
Strong understanding of country specific resiliency rules, data sovereignty rules, privacy rules and protections, corporate ethics programs and other compliance topics pertinent to a vertical SaaS provider.
Demonstrated ability to develop and scale compliance programs in a multinational environment.
JD, LLM, or equivalent professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CCEP-I, CIPM) preferred.
Exceptional communication and executive presence.
