**We are searching for the best talent for Global Head Clinical Supply Chain role.**
**Purpose:** This leadership position is accountable for the clinical supply chain, including Clinical Supply Operations, Planning, Pack & Label and Logistics for Biologics, Synthetics, and Advanced Therapies. The organization develops and executes the overall supply plan, that aligns with the compound strategy of clinical programs and trials, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal supply for API, DP and Finished Kits. This includes budget management at a compound level and influencing the optimal trial design and its operational impact.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management with Head of Global Development, Head of Delivery Units, Head of GCO, Head of IMSC Planning and Value Chain Management and Deliver, Head of CMC, and Quality to deliver the portfolio. The leader will represent is the single point of contact for Clinical Supplies and be a member of relevant governance mechanisms with stakeholders. The position reports to Global Head of TDS and is a fulltime member of the TDS Leadership Team.
**You will be responsible for** **:**
+ Leading Global R&D CSC Leaders and Supply Chain Strategy across Therapeutic Development & Supply (TDS).
+ Providing strategic and operational leadership to Clinical Supply Integrators, Planning, Pack & Label and Logistics and managing budget and resource allocation in support of the portfolio.
+ Being Single Point of Contact for senior stakeholders, building connection/partnership which allows for pro-active alignment with stakeholder’s expectations. Developing strong collaborations with TA’s, GD and within DPDS to ensure customer satisfaction.
+ Acting as Clinical Supply Chain champion in collaborative efforts with external partners (e.g., due diligence efforts, clinical development partnerships).
+ Attracting and developing high performing diverse talent through smart talent acquisition and strong training and development approaches.
+ Being full time member of the TDS Leadership team and collaborating with LT peers on shaping the global strategy of the organization to deliver the portfolio.
Additional Responsibilities:
+ Developing strong internal collaborations and relationships within DPDS and with the Therapeutic Areas, GDO, IMSC & Quality to ensure alignment of process and systems, sharing best practices.
+ Attracting, engagement and development of team to ensure the organization has suitable leaders to meet the needs of the growing/changing portfolio for the future.
+ Defining vision, short and long-term strategic roadmap, and goals in conjunction with Business Partners.
+ Driving requirements, specifications and the development of products and lead groups in cross-functional project teams.
+ Acting as a leadership mentor for growing and talented organization.
+ Proactively developing new thinking beyond existing norm/boundaries and opportunities for teams to discuss new scientific/technical opportunities, external partnerships for discovery and outsourcing on non-core/business critical activities.
+ Contributing to building a culture of compliance with safety procedures, healthcare compliance, company training and local and country regulations among teams.
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
+ A degree in life sciences, engineering, or supply chain is required. A minimum of 10 years of proven success and leadership in pharmaceutical or clinical development, or global supply chain management.
+ Excellent knowledge and understanding of clinical supplies (plan, make, source, deliver), or equivalent experience through managing a supply chain with high demand variability, short lead times and complex product portfolio.
+ Strong knowledge of IRT systems, planning systems and simulation tools, as well as S&OP processes.
+ Demonstrated ability in managing a global customer base and / or network of stakeholders.
+ Excellent people management and leadership skills
+ A proven ability to execute and get results through leading others. Proven track record of developing people to leadership roles. Experience in leading a global or multi-site team.
+ Ability to lead, inspire and influence team through a period of high change.
The expected base pay range for this position is 289.000 to 391.000 USD.
