The RQ-4 Global Hawk unmanned aircraft system (UAS) is the premier provider of persistent intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance information.  Able to fly at high altitudes for greater than 30 hours, Global Hawk is designed to gather near-real-time, High-resolution imagery of large areas of land in all types of weather – day or night.

What You Will Do:

Candidate will work with a small team to maintain integrated ground segment equipment during flight tests.Perform HW/SW maintenance and upgrades as well as troubleshoot technical problems.Provide engineering solutions to on-going and potential technical issues.Install and troubleshoot experimental HW/SW, provide feedback to engineering and work with offsite engineering in a collaborative manner.Troubleshooting will include industry standard IT systems as well as program specific hardware, software, and procedures.Work closely with customer representatives to provide status and integrate customer changes.10% Travel is required to perform backfill support at OCONUS

What You Will Learn:

How to support Flight Test operations.Advanced troubleshooting, maintenance and operational support of Global Hawk Ground Stations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.Experience performing troubleshooting and analysis to correct system discrepancies.Experience with Unix/Linux system administration.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Possess communication skills necessary for problem resolution with military/corporate customers and vendors.Strong teamwork skills – Ability to interact productively with other Raytheon Technologies Field Engineers and customers.Work independently to develop timely and effective solutions to technical problems of various scope and complexity.Able and willing to support short-term backfill rotations to other CONUS and OCONUS sites.2 years’ experience as a system administrator or development/support in the Linux, Solaris, Irix or other Unix environment​

This position will be full-time onsite at a customer location.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
