Global Environmental and Sustainability Manager
We are in search of a Global Environmental and Sustainability Manager to join our team in Shakopee, MN! In this role, you will lead the development and execution of global strategies to reduce the environmental impact of the organization through leadership of sustainability initiatives. You will also lead & drive programs to ensure operational environmental compliance across Measurement Solutions and communicate progress to stakeholders. **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + **Developing and Implementing Sustainability Strategies:** Creating and implementing environmental compliance and sustainability policies, strategies, and action plans to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability goals. + **Compliance & Risk Management** : Providing support and expertise to manufacturing sites on environmental compliance in areas such as air, water, & waste to site-based teams while also monitoring emerging regulations to understand impacts. Ensuring compliance with relevant laws. Assisting sites with implementing strategies and appropriate environmental risk controls. + **Environmental Leadership** : Collaborating with cross-functional teams to promote sustainability & environmental initiatives to foster a culture of environmental responsibility. This includes leading global sustainability champions to establish Green Teams working toward Emerson's vision of Greening Of, Greening By & Greening With. + **Project Management** : Overseeing sustainability projects including energy efficiency, waste reduction, water conservation, and carbon footprint reduction. + **Audits & Assessments:** Evaluating the environmental impact of operations, finding opportunities for improvement, and developing recommendations for strengthening operational environmental compliance and sustainability practices. + **Data Analysis & Reporting** : Monitoring and analyzing environmental performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Leading the preparation of reports such as sustainability reports. + **Training & Education** : Developing and delivering training programs to promote sustainability awareness across the organization **Who You Are:** You stay aligned with your goals and stay productive. You break down objectives into appropriate initiatives and actions. **For This Role, You Will Need:** + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Environmental Science or related + Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience + Ability to travel 20% to various manufacturing sites to support environmental audits and/or sustainability related projects + Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks + Legal authorization to work in the United States **Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:** + CHMM designation is preferred + Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field. + Experience in a multinational corporation and/or manufacturing environment + Experience with ESG reporting and sustainability software tools is a plus. + Proven ability to lead cross-functional and multicultural teams. + Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills. **Our Culture & Commitment to You:** At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
