As the Global Director, Sales Training & Performance Excellence, you play a critical role in ensuring our sales organization operates at peak effectiveness. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of world-class selling programs—from new-hire onboarding through sales management development—across diverse regions. By driving training excellence, managing a global content development team, and providing expert consultation, you will elevate sales proficiency, accelerate ramp-up times, and maximize manager and rep performance.

Responsibilities
Develop Training Excellence
Define and evolve core new-hire curricula, selling model frameworks, and management development pathways
Champion instructional best practices and continuous improvement to ensure learning interventions drive measurable business outcomes
Monitor shifting regional priorities, industry trends, and launch timelines to adjust training roadmaps proactively
Embed mechanisms for rapid feedback and continuous iteration to keep programs relevant in a fast-paced commercial environment
Manage Content Development Team
Lead, coach, and deploy a team of content developers to produce prioritized, scalable training assets
Oversee end-to-end program rollout across regions—ensuring localization, consistency, and measurable impact
Ensure global content localization handoffs, partnering with training leadership peers for market-specific adaptation
Provide Consultation & Best Practices
Advise senior stakeholders on training requests, needs assessments, learning objectives, and delivery strategies
Translate complex or evolving commercial priorities into clear, outcomes-based learning plans
Manage Vendor Relationships
Source, evaluate, and onboard external agencies to supplement internal capacity and ensure continuity of training delivery
Oversee vendor performance, budgets, and quality standards to maintain consistency and ROI
Collaborate Cross-Functionally
Partner with franchise, medical affairs, IT, and regional commercial teams to align content development with product launches and market dynamics
Facilitate open communication throughout the design phase to ensure content meets functional, regulatory, and technical requirements
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred field of study includes education, instructional design, human resources
15+ years of experience delivering training in commercial fields or regulated healthcare environments
10+ years of experience managing direct reports and leading teams
Preferred
Master’s Degree
Experience in the med tech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry
Experience with LMS platforms, digital repositories (e.g., SharePoint), and compliance workflows (Veeva MLR)
Skills and Competencies
Ability to lead a team of content developers to craft engaging outcome-focused learning experiences in multiple formats
Capability to design and deliver strategic global learning roadmaps that meet the needs of internal customers across commercial
Ability to guide cross-functional teams to produce engaging, scalable selling content—balancing instructional rigor with market relevance
Proven leadership ability to manage, coach, and develop high-performing teams in a dynamic environment
Strong communicator with the ability to build alignment and convey strategy, metrics, and progress to cross-functional leaders

Travel requirements: 25% business travel as needed

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $164,250.00 - $246,375.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
