Global Director, Creative Production and Operations

**About the Role**
We’re looking for a seasoned, experienced production maverick who will evolve our vision, operating model and ways of working for Creative Production at Uber. This job requires a deep understanding of integrated production across every channel through the funnel as well as a keen customer-centric focus. This job involves working collaboratively and closely with our internal creative team, external agencies and production companies and business and marketing stakeholders at all levels.
**What You’ll Do**
- Oversee production of consecutive creative campaigns across all paid and owned channels
- Lead operational practices that balance creative ambition with compliance to external creative and production industry standards, while navigating the realities of a highly matrixed organization
- Establish and oversee prioritization processes that ensure the most impactful creative and brand marketing initiatives are resourced and delivered on time
- Develop and enforce operational protocols that enable smooth collaboration across creative, brand marketing, and production teams
- Partner closely with Marketing Operations to align on budgets, resourcing, and cross-functional workflows that drive both efficiency and creative excellence
- Integrate AI capabilities into production workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness — from creative development through post-production
- Evaluate and apply AI-driven tools for asset management, content versioning, and workflow automation to support both high-volume and high-complexity projects
- Serve as a bridge between creative and business needs, ensuring standards, compliance, AI adoption, and operational rigor are upheld without compromising creative quality
- Partner closely with Global ECD and CD’s on team goals, focus, structure and roadmaps
- Collaborate with the Marketing Operations team on weekly team intake, prioritization and resourcing, surfacing roadblocks and offering dynamic solutions to urgent business needs
- Work closely with agencies of record (AOR’s) on both Mobility and Delivery LOB’s across a myriad of projects, creating alignment and removing roadblocks wherever needed.
- Build trust and understanding with cross functional marketing and creative partners
- Manage campaign development across mediums such as live action shoots, photography shoots, digital projects and activations when needed
- Manage internal staff workflow and direct outside agencies and/or production vendors in a variety of cross-disciplinary executions from concept to completion
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders (PMM, Marketing Managers, Strategy, Media, Ops, Performance, etc) across lines of business to shepherd projects through launch
- Define project goals and scope, develop schedules, estimates and engagement plans, author and negotiate contracts and manage agency relationships. You know what can be done and done well for $25K to $2.5M
**Basic Qualifications**
- 12+ years experience producing multi-channel award winning campaigns across film, photography, print, experiential, digital and social channels and managing. multidisciplinary production teams in an agency or client side setting (preferably both)

- Superb people management skills. Operates with a strong EQ and acute sense of self-awareness. Knows how to unlock creative inspiration and energy with different personalities
- Strong rolodex and relationships with external production partners locally and globally.
- Excellent negotiation skills (especially contract and bid negotiations) with clients, peers and production partners, etc
- Ability to define solutions that will generate measurable results for your client
- Superior leadership and communication skills
- Self starter. Comfortable with ambiguity
- Understanding of how to scale ideas for global deliverables and impact and the resources it takes to implement
- A strong connection to Uber’s mission, work and company values
- Demonstrated taste and craft across production work that is proven in portfolio work
- Deep experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring and managing the careers of a multidisciplinary production team (Producers, Business Affairs, Studio, Operations)
- Strong business insight, with a solid understanding of how to achieve objectives while meeting an expected brand standard, a high bar for aesthetic quality within set budgets and schedules
- Organizationally savvy. Knows how to be impactful and collaborate in a heavily matrixed organization. Proficient in guiding and shaping organizational strategies within both Creative and Creative Production orgs
- Proficiency with marketing up and down the funnel. You understand the building blocks of campaign development from CRM and display to content production, brand experience and everything in between
- A critical eye for great design, writing and production
- Regularly shows good judgment with excellent conflict resolution skills, knowing when to be diplomatic and nurturing, and when to be assertive
- Able to work quickly, strategically prioritize multiple projects and manage your own workload in a fast-paced environment

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$230,000 per year - USD$255,500 per year.
