You will report to: Sr. Manager Global Demand & Digital Marketing
As the Global SEO Strategist, you will be a pivotal member of Rockwell Automation's Global Digital, Demand and Operations team, leading our comprehensive Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy to significantly enhance organic visibility, drive qualified web traffic, and generate engagement from our target markets worldwide. This role requires a passionate SEO expert with a deep understanding of technical, on-page, and off-page SEO principles, coupled with strong analytical skills to monitor and report on organic search performance. The Global Digital Marketing Specialist will be expected to work EST Time Now Eastern Standard Time (North America).
Global SEO Strategy & Development:Lead the development and execution of Rockwell Automation’s global SEO strategy, aligning with overall marketing objectives.Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitive analysis, and audience intent mapping to identify high-value organic opportunities.Generate comprehensive SEO promotional plans, integrating organic search with broader digital campaign efforts.Agency Management & Execution:Manage relationships with external digital agencies, overseeing their contribution to SEO strategy implementation and campaign execution.Provide clear direction and detailed briefs to agency partners, ensuring their work aligns with Rockwell Automation's SEO goals and brand guidelines.Review and analyze agency performance reports, providing feedback and ensuring accountability for agreed-upon KPIs related to organic search.Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external agencies for all SEO-related initiatives.Performance Monitoring & Reporting:Continuously monitor, analyze, and report on organic search performance using advanced SEO tools.Track key SEO metrics including keyword rankings, organic visibility, organic traffic, conversion rates from organic search, and backlink profiles.Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on performance data to refine SEO strategies and tactics.Work with our analytics team to produce timely and insightful SEO program reporting.Collaboration & Consultation:Collaborate closely with Marketing Communications, Web Development, and product marketing teams to ensure seamless and effective execution of SEO recommendations.Serve as the subject matter expert for SEO, consulting and supporting global and regional stakeholders on SEO best practices, algorithm updates, and emerging trends.Provide training and onboarding to global and regional team members on SEO principles and tools where appropriate.Work with 3rd parties and/or agencies specializing in SEO to co-create demand-based promotion initiatives.Content & Campaign Integration:Support content strategies by identifying SEO-driven content opportunities and reviewing content success from an organic search perspective.Ensure website layout, imagery, and copy are optimized for search engines while maintaining brand consistency.Support the creation of "always-on" programs with a strong SEO foundation.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing or comparable experience with a 5-year degree.5+ years of dedicated experience in an SEO-focused role within a marketing operations or digital marketing environment.Proven experience in developing and executing global SEO strategies for a complex organization.Expertise in utilizing SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Google Search Console, Google Analytics).Strong understanding of technical SEO elements (e.g., site architecture, crawl budget, index management, core web vitals).Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive keyword research, competitor analysis, and link-building strategies.Experience with global paid media platforms (e.g., Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads) with an understanding of how paid and organic search can complement each other.Certified in Google Analytics and Google Search Console.Project and/or program activation experience with a strong focus on digital and SEO initiatives.Global mindset with an appreciation and respect for different cultural approaches to digital marketing.Highly analytical with a strong ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable SEO strategies.Familiarity with marketing technologies, especially related to web analytics and content management systems.Benefits:
