Global Demand Planning Analyst

 

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Global Demand Planning Analyst to join our Supply Chain team. The Global Demand Planning Analyst will be responsible for creating accurate demand forecasts, analyzing market trends, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and optimizing inventory levels to meet customer needs while minimizing costs. This role plays a key part in ensuring product availability and driving efficient supply chain operations.

YOUR TASKS Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using statistical models, historical data, and market intelligence. Analyze sales trends, promotions, seasonality, and external factors to enhance forecast accuracy. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams to gather inputs and align forecasts with business plans. Monitor forecast performance and key metrics (e.g., forecast accuracy, bias, inventory turnover). Assess vendor capabilities and system set-up.  Share expectations, processes and policies. Define vendor SLA’s and KPI’s.  Clear escalation paths and root cause analyses to prevent recurring problems. Conduct quarterly business reviews with an agreed upon scorecard. Recommend inventory strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and improve service levels. Create and submit Purchase Orders to vendors for order fulfillment.  Match invoices to POs and receipts, then approve for payment. Identify and address demand variances, gaps, and potential risks. Advise Account Representatives of orders in jeopardy. Evaluate constraints and communicate with Operations teams and Client Services to resolve issues. Resolve issues that interfere with the on-time completion of orders. Maintain planning systems and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel, or other forecasting software). Involvement and support with departmental process improvements. YOUR PROFILE Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics. Proficiency in forecasting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle, Kinaxis, or similar). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment.
