Your Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the dynamic area of capital investments in Life Sciences. The Global Technical CapEx & Facilities Controller plays a crucial role in supporting the steering and management of the overall Life Sciences Technical Capital Expenditure processes (Planning, Forecasting, and Reporting) to facilitate decision-making and trade-offs across the organization. You will also be responsible for being the business partner to the Massachusetts Facilities group (Bedford and Burlington) to ensure that all financial matters related to this group are managed properly.
Coordinate all aspects of Technical CapEx planning processes (SD, OP, F2) together with Controlling, ISCO PMO, and business stakeholders, including timelines, templates, targets, and other necessary elements.Analyze, distill, and provide recommendations for actions needed to ensure Technical CapEx objectives are met, both from a planning and actuals perspective.Collaborate to provide a consolidated actuals report for LS-wide Technical CapEx.Work with multiple stakeholders to gather customer feedback and deliver process improvement proposals.Act as the interface between Divisional & Corporate CapEx Controlling on relevant matters.Serve as a subject matter expert in capital investment topics to support Global Life Sciences Controlling teams with all levels of project approval, including Investment Committee support.Collaborate with the ISCO PMO group to develop and maintain guidelines and SOPs for Global Technical CapEx, focusing on implementing common financial processes and practices globally across the company.Ensure all guidelines and approval documentation are easily accessible and managed through the EVA web platform.Act as a business partner for the Head of MA Facilities, being responsible for all forecasting, reporting, and analysis needed, including related journal entries.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline; CPA preferred.12+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in CapEx in a global role, ideally with experience in financial analysis and/or operations.You are someone who is curious and open-minded, interested in questioning current ways of working, and passionate about learning a broad variety of topics.You are resilient, with the ability to work independently and under pressure, while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality work.Capable of working in a highly matrixed environment and partnering with different stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and Business.Should have a good understanding of data and analytics capabilities. Able to work with and analyze large sets of data and distill content into actionable recommendations.
