Job DescriptionCategory Strategy:
Build up and maintain portfolio strategy in line with the BA needs and define a well balanced portfolio to minimize risk, to ensure flexibility, to get an advantage position on the supplier market. Define, deliver and update a Sourcing List. Identify and onboard new potential suppliers where the need is identifiedIdentify any value improvement activities and steer implementation.To present and align the strategies with BA stakeholdersCommercial:
To handle all negotiations at the Category Supplier To negotiate and maintain necessary global contractsTo support Advance Purchasing with complex / difficult negotiationsManage suppliers in representation of the BAEscalation Support:
Support Region Purchasing for Quality, Supply and Commercial escalationTrouble shooting: Support the plants as next escalation level in case of supply problems (quality or delivery)Reporting:
Share market situation with stakeholdersTo report Categories performance in regular baseForecast expected price development QualificationsBachelor degree; in exceptional cases an equivalent professional experienceAt least several years in Purchasing, thereof a few years in automotiveStrong Purchasing Portfolio Handling (Strategy, Supplier List, Market Know How, Portfolio Analyse, Forecast) & ContractualizationNegotiation experience : RFQ, Offer analyse and comparison, NegotiationRisk Management Claim, Finance, LegalAbility to work whitin a remote team Project Management experience is a plusFunctional or project leadership experience is a plus Several years exposure to international business Experience of living abroad is a plusFluent English and good German language skills is a plus (written and spoken)Business trip to be expected (up to 30% of working time max)Additional InformationWhat we offer:
