Responsibilities Make an impact Your main tasks as Category Lead (m/f/d) will include developing a sourcing strategy and roadmap in close alignment with relevant stakeholders (e.g., product development, project realization) for one or more categories. You can work on this from our modern office in Dortmund or Linköping. You are also responsible for the development and the setup of supplier segmentation for your respective category, and identify strategic supplier as well as the setup of supplier relationship management for strategic suppliers. As expert of your category (markets, price developments, supplier market, latest trends) you are accountable for competitive pricing, ensure supply chain resilience and mitigation of supply chain risks. In addition, you take care of the regional implementation of the global strategy and organization as well as the global lead of category and regional (execution) lead for production sites. Equally important is the development of global category standards such as RFI/RFP Templates, price templates and contract templates. Rounding off, you always have the focus on relevant KPIs and deliver on defined targets guaranteed, among other things, by the collaboration and interaction with other Procurement teams (e.g., Project Procurement, Operational Procurement and Global Process Owner & Digital solution team). The role still needs to be evolved at Swisslog. Thus, you will also drive the transformation from operational procurement to tactical/strategic procurement for your role. Application Requirements What you need to succeed Your studies in Master Business Administration ideally in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or Engineering form the basis of your profile, together with a good technical knowledge. In addition, you have minimal five years experience in strategic purchasing, preferable also experienced in tactical and operational purchasing as well as in negotiations. You can also demonstrate knowledgeable in state-of-the art digital procurement tools such as Ariba, Jaggaer, Coupa or similar tools. Furthermore, you have a good knowledge of SAP R3 MM. Furthermore, you have working experience in a global/corporate company with a mature procurement organization and you are experienced in data analysis to perform should-cost modelling, target cost models, detect cost leakages etc.. Others value you as an open-minded person who deals with people of all levels and countries in an appreciative and effective manner. You are part of your team and enjoy sharing your knowledge. Finally, you have fluent communication skills in English (written and spoken). Every other language besides English is beneficial.
