About the Team

The Global Business Operations & Planning Team is a key driver of impact across the entire global business. As trusted partners to eBay’s Chief Commercial Officer, we solve complex operational challenges, drive cross-functional alignment, develop and manage global business cadences, and ensure the successful execution of eBay’s strategic priorities.

We collaborate closely with senior leaders across business units, product, and technology teams. Our work shapes how eBay delivers value -- faster, smarter, and with greater focus -- making this team an exciting launchpad for growth and leadership opportunities.

We’re looking for a Global Business Operations Manager to join our high-impact team. You’ll help simplify operations, prioritize critical initiatives, and accelerate delivery of eBay’s most important projects. This is a high-visibility role where your insights will directly influence business outcomes and shape how eBay operates at scale.

If you’re energized by structured problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and making a tangible difference, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

Establish and Run Executive-Level Reporting & Cadences: Develop reporting frameworks that keep senior leaders informed on business operations and performance, and then manage the operating cadences – including developing agendas, documenting key decisions and actions, and tracking follow-through across teams

Build and Scale Operational Playbooks: Design clear, repeatable processes for key business operations, and drive adoption across teams to ensure consistency and efficiency

Own High-Impact Projects: Lead end-to-end execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive growth, efficiency, or strategic transformation

Strengthen Goal Management: Improve how goals are set, tracked, and communicated, ensuring clarity, alignment, and accountability across the business

Communicate with Influence: Synthesize data and business context into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners

Champion Operational Excellence: Continuously advocate for simplicity, speed, and focus in how we operate, removing friction and driving smarter ways of working

What You Bring

Problem-Solving Mindset: Passion for transforming complex challenges into practical, scalable solutions
Analytical Strength: Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to inform decision-making

Effective Communication: Able to clearly articulate complex ideas to a wide range of audiences, from peers to executives

Collaborative Approach: Proactive and team-oriented, thriving in matrixed, fast-paced environments

Comfort with Ambiguity: Confident navigating uncertainty and driving progress with a strong bias for action

Executive Presence: Professional, polished communication style that resonates at all levels, especially with senior leaders
Trusted Partner: Skilled at building and maintaining trust with cross-functional leaders and stakeholders

Influence Without Authority: Strong interpersonal skills that enable you to lead initiatives and manage deliverables across teams, even without direct reports
Curiosity & Creativity: Naturally inquisitive, bringing fresh ideas, a creative spark, and a sense of fun to the team

Qualifications

4+ years of experience, including time at a top-tier strategy consulting firm

Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred

Experience in e-commerce, retail, consumer goods, or technology is a plus
