The Loan Management team is a business unit within the Global Markets Division (GMD), primarily supporting the Mortgage Loan Trading and Structured Finance desks. The team is a multi-faceted diligence and asset management platform specializing in whole loan acquisition, sales, securitizations, and financing opportunities. The Loan Management team has product expertise across mortgages, consumer loans, real estate and warehouse financing.
The Whole Loan Execution Group (WLEG) includes the Document Collateral, Repurchase and Deal Management teams which manages post-settle trade management. WLEG is seeking a Collateral Management Analyst/Associate to support the Mortgage Loan Trading Desks and Loan Management in mitigating post settle risk by coordinating document collateral exception curative efforts to ensure proper servicing and the salability of the loans acquired. The successful candidate would be responsible for managing a significant pipeline of settled deals to ensure proper vendor oversight and client relations with a goal of clearing all outstanding document deficiencies within the contractual timelines.

Minimum 1-3 years of US mortgage document management and/or document custodial experience Document review, audit and curative experience and expertise including Chains of Assignment of Mortgage, Note Endorsements/Allonges, Lost Note Affidavits and Attorney Bailee LettersStrong self-confidence, good judgment, and sound decision making and problem solving skillsStrong communication skills (clear, concise, and confident) with the ability to manage internal and external relationshipsRelationship development and management experience; vendor oversight experience is preferredAbility to organize, analyze and interpret legal contracts and compliance related materials a plusCapable of recommending modifications to existing policies/procedures to control risk and improve performance/efficienciesAbility to handle a high-stress, fast-paced environment and aggressive deadlines with minimum supervision; successfully meet established project requirements and deadlinesAbility to work independently and multi-taskPossess strong organizational and detail-oriented skillsAdvanced proficiencies in MS ExcelFlexibility to work extended hours if neededABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS
