YOUR IMPACT 

The Loan Data Quality team is seeking a motivated professional to support loan product data set up & maintenance and loan closing. We seek team orientated candidates who can demonstrate excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage competing tasks and prioritize risk accordingly in a fast paced and demanding environment. Team members are expected to be able to consistently deliver on day-to-day execution as well as contribute to strategic organizational goals.

OUR IMPACT

Investment Banking Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to facilitate banking & financing capabilities to clients around the world. In addition, IB Operations provide essential risk management and control to preserve and enhance the firm’s assets and its reputation. The Loan Data Quality team is responsible for ongoing management of loan product data and closing functions, which includes primary loan trade settlements and initial draw funding to the borrower. Daily interactions with key stakeholders such as Bankers, Legal, Credit, Risk and Technology are crucial to the role to ensure timely and effective client service.

Gain a comprehensive understanding of the bank loan business and understanding loan structuresLeverage your quantitative skills to decompose complex loan restructures and ensure booking are complete within timelinesEnhance your industry knowledge through settlement of complex loan closingsDevelop cash settlement expertise via thorough understanding of payments and settlement platformsGrow with the team; develop a deeper understanding of complex transactions and work with our business partners to progress on organizational goals Assume accountability and ownership of complex situations, offering own expertise to influence outcomesRisk Management – Partner with regional management team to provide effective oversight of key loan product data attributesDeliver consistent client service through partnerships with other teams and divisionsDeliver day-to-day issue resolution through effective time management, prioritization, and multi-taskingContinually adapt to changes in the business, markets and regulatory environmentCollaborate with stakeholders to mitigate risks associated with bespoke workflowsShowcase your ability to function as a team player in a highly collaborative environment while working closely with internal and external stakeholders such as Business Groups, Reporting Controllers, Risk, Technology and Operations LeadershipCollaborate with global team counterparts in Dallas on initiatives supporting a global loan support modelSupport MIS reporting, including key risk indicators, trends and milestones of the team

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR -

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a finance related field preferredMinimum experience of 3 years in Loan Operations & total experience of 4 – 7 yearsProven analytical skills, problem solving ability, and a control mentality paired with meticulous attention to detailAptitude for building relationships and ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal clients with differing levels of product experienceSelf-motivated and proactive team player, who takes ownership and accountability of projects, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing prioritiesFlexible and able to work well under pressure within a team environment

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Financial or quantitative educational backgroundUnderstanding of Loan Operations & Regulatory reporting experience and/or experience in handling audits
