Global Allocation and Yield Director
Job Purpose •\tThe FCL Allocation Director is responsible for driving capacity, allocation management and yield (GP) optimization on the assigned trade. The individual drives process and execution of the trade strategy with origin & destination stakeholders, with the objective of delivering the customer promise and maximizing the financial opportunity for DGF. •\tThe individual identifies the trade level opportunities for yield optimization and drives steering actively on a day-to-day basis with country & stations, to deliver incremental yield. The individual drives weekly engagement with Trade leadership, drives decision making and produces necessary insights to adapt to market changes. He/she is driving country level compliance and metrics and delivers adherence to our routing guide. •\tThe individual is part of the group of owners of our Yield & Allocation Management Tools, drives enablement across the organization as trainer and point of contact and is driving data quality in the Yield & Allocation Management Tools as well as communicating data quality issues with owners of connected & interfaced system. •\tThe role is part of the Global Allocation & Yield Team as part of Global FCL Trade Management.

Key Tasks
Capacity Management •\tDrives the capacity process and proposes optimal position to Trade Management •\tDrives trade alignment, ensuring all stakeholders identifies same source of truth •\tManages and maintains allocations in our systems and drives standardization •\tProvides reporting on customer forecasted volume attainment and ship to profile (STP) •\tDrives process adherence for allocation management with countries •\tDrives the process of adapting and optimizing allocation continuously across origins
Allocation Management •\tMaintains and drives the routing guide for assigned trade and acts as gatekeeper for data quality •\tMaintains Customer and Carrier prioritization and manages client level allocation •\tOptimizes allocation usage and manages dead-freight capacity, creates visibility to gaps •\tMonitors and drives core carrier adherence, and drives corrective actions incl steering •\tServes as primary escalation point for exceptions related to space and equipment failures •\tDrives carrier collaboration as part of trade management but specifically for operational execution
 Yield (GP) Optimization •\tResponsible for volume steering instructions, across trades and countries •\tMonitors and communicates actual shipped volumes and outlook, identifies constraints •\tDrives VID adherence, identifies trade off opportunities and implements steering initiatives •\tIdentifies and drives execution of yield optimization opportunities on a CY-CY level incl IPI/Ramp •\tIdentifies and drives execution of contract arbitrage opportunities (NACFAK v.v.)
Trade Analytics •\tProvides analysis and insights on contract usage, rates and terms towards trade management •\tMonitors and manages data for trade capacity evolution incl trade events (void sailings, omissions) •\tAnalyses and delivers insights to carrier scorecards, supporting strategic and tactical decision making •\tDrives data quality metrics and adherence with countries, trade and regional operations
Stakeholders •\tCollaborate with internal stakeholders – Trade Manager, Country OFR Manager, Gateways, Operational OFR Manager •\tWill cooperate with and drive execution with shipping lines and other external service providers •\tBuild strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DHL managers •\tProvide technical guidance to country OFR operators in close collaboration with Country OFR Manager

Qualifications & Key Requirements -\tDegree holder, relevant post-graduate qualifications will be an advantage. -\tExperience working in a multinational environment and in a large corporation -\tMust be able to travel internationally ca. 15-20% -\tMin. 8-10 years of experience in the OFR forwarding industry -\tMin. 5 years of experience in OFR allocation and yield management -\tUsed to work in a multinational environment and in a large corporation -\tSeasoned logistics professional with successful track record -\tGood carrier contacts
