This Position reports to:
Segment Manager
We are looking for an experienced Global Account Manager to lead and grow strategic customer relationships within the marine industry, supporting ABB’s Motion High Power division globally. In this role, you will take ownership of key accounts and drive account strategies focused on increasing share of wallet, enhancing profitability, and strengthening customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for coordinating sales activities across teams, monitoring ongoing projects, resolving customer challenges, and executing tactical account plans that align customer priorities with ABB’s long-term goals.
Travelling is required up to 30% for this position.

You will be mainly accountable for:
Customer Engagement & Business Insights: Build strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders across customer organizations; develop a deep understanding of customer priorities and decision-making processes to generate valuable business insights and foster long-term partnerships
Sales & Profitability Goals: Drive customer-focused strategies that deliver on or exceed annual targets for orders, revenue, and profitability; ensure ABB’s value proposition is clearly articulated and effectively positioned within customer organizations
Strategic Account Planning: Analyze the customer’s business environment and critical drivers; coordinate across ABB divisions and local teams to align on strategies that support shared business objectives and deliver tailored solutions
Business Development & Operational Sales: Identify and prioritize growth opportunities, lead investment initiatives, and create the conditions for easy and efficient collaboration; manage the sales process through CRM platforms like Salesforce, ensuring high data quality to support strategic decision-making
Qualifications for the role:
Proven experience within the Marine, Industrial, or Infrastructure sectors, with a strong track record in Account Management or Business Development
Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand complex customer business models, interpret market dynamics, and influence strategic outcomes
Solid understanding of industry-specific challenges, technical environments, and customer value chains
University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
Experience in working in multinational, matrixed organisations, with excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills; fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
