Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesOverall responsibilities and duties:
The Finance SSC General Ledger GL/Tax Specialist is responsible collaborating with internal departments to gather for a company's financial records, including tracking and analyzing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring accuracy. The role also involves supervising GL journal entries/Tax, reconciling accounts, and coordinating with auditors. The leader ensures compliance with internal policies.
The main missions of the role are to:
• Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial information.
• Performing audits on financial data to assure its accuracy and truthfulness.
• Entering financial data such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries into the ledger on a monthly basis.
• Performing account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct.
• Gathering supporting documentation and performing recordkeeping.
• Other tasks as assigned from Supervisor.
• Supervised all GL journal entry posted from subordinates for accrued expense, amortization prepaid expense, interest income.
• Post GL journal entry items of month end closing for accrued local commission per profit.
• Vat closing, GL adjustment for a prohibited expense, stock adjustment for manual posting, review accounting
• Transactions of fixed assets under construction, and in Fixed Assets module for fixed assets registration, depreciation, and disposal on SAP program.
• Center of reconciliation GL outstanding balance for support a Statement of Financial Position, and quarterly profit.
• Period accounting closing under IFRS, data support financial auditing, and TFRS or THAI GAAP accounting standard.
• Process transfer banking transaction from savings accounts to current accounts, banking of receives to banking of payment.
• Post GL journal entry for accrued expense, amortize prepaid expense, fixed assets capitalize, and depreciation.
• Coordinate with auditor in relation to audit activities
• Collaborate with the tax specialist to prepare and submit PND.51 and PND.50 filings. Assist in the preparation of tax exemption (BOI) and tax refund documentations
• Work closely with the statutory audit team, and resolve any audit finding in timely manner
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet the requirements of the Revenue Department and BOI.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, ensuring effective control procedures across all aspects of the tax process.
• Conducted in compliance with tax regulations and offer training to enhance awareness tax compliance requirements
• Assist in preparing tax reconciliation reports to support both external and internal audits.
• Collaborate with the tax advisor on the preparation and archiving of Transfer Pricing documentation.
• Explore automation opportunities and work with headquarters on projects aimed at enhancing the tax function through technology and digitization.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have/be:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar role.
• Experience in a shared service center environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
