GL Analyst

**DESCRIPTION**
The GL Analyst is responsible for the preparation of financial analyses and reports that support department managers and stakeholders. The role supports month-end close activities, budget processes, and financial/statistical reporting to ensure compliance, accuracy, and insights that drive business performance.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Prepare and consolidate financial data and reports for internal use by department managers.
+ Support monthly general ledger close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
+ Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, expense and staffing forecasts, and financial plans.
+ Analyze and report financial performance, explain variances, and support cost analysis initiatives.
+ Compile and deliver statistical and financial reports to meet internal and external stakeholder requirements.
+ Partner with cross-functional teams to execute special projects as assigned.
+ Ensure adherence to US GAAP and company accounting policies in all financial activities.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Skills and Experience:**
+ Minimal relevant professional work experience in Finance or Accounting.
+ Proficiency in GL month-end closing processes and financial reporting.
+ Working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends and risks.
+ Experience with financial systems, ERP tools, and Microsoft Excel.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Qualifications:**
+ College, university, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
