About the Role
This is a staff level position in General Ledger Accounting. The position will be responsible for carrying out accounting activities independently without guidance which include daily, weekly and monthly journal activities, month end closing, reporting and account reconciliations. Also support compliance and audit tasks.
What You Will Do
Month end closing:
Prepare and post journals entries for various standard and adhoc activities viz., Accruals, provisions, reserves, recharges, reclasses, etc.Reconcile key GL accounts to ensure no unusual balances are left in Balance SheetMaintenance of GL accounts, cost centers, WBS elements, etc. in SAPRegular monitoring of AUC GLs to ensure timely capitalizationCalculation of Rebates, Commission, Royalties, etc.Collaborate with AR for raising Credit invoicesBalance Sheet Reconciliations:
Reconcile various Balance Sheet GL accounts using standard templates and provide aging analysis where applicableList open items with appropriate action plan and target dates of closureFollow up with relevant action owners to timely resolve open itemsCompliance:
Periodic review and update of Control documentsAdherence to compliance in all activities and ensure zero deficienciesCollaborate with the line manager to fulfill external and internal audit requestsWhat You Need
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Economics6 to 9 years in of working experience in General Ledger Accounting in India, 3+ in HungaryAbility to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbalStrong accounting knowledge, good understanding on US GAAP and IFRSEnthusiastic, self-starter, and quick learner with excellent communication skills.Willingness to work in EU and US time zones and accept to deliver in stringent timelinesExcellent MS office suite skills (Excel, PPT, Word)Strong interpersonal skills with stakeholders and other colleaguesWhat is Nice to Have
Master’s degree or higher accounting qualificaiton would be a distinct advantageGood knowledge and experience working in SAPPrior experience of working in shared services / BPO industry would be a plusWhat Makes You Eligible
