Job Description
We are seeking two GKE Cloud Engineers to join a critical, high-impact project for one of our largest clients in the healthcare/pharmaceutical sector. This is a fully remote opportunity, aligned with Eastern Standard Time hours. This project is already underway, and we're scaling up to expand responsibilities and accelerate deployment. Responsibilities include:
Architect and manage GKE/Kubernetes clusters in GCP for high-availability workloads
Deploy, manage, and support Java-based retail pharmacy applications on GCP end-to-end
Implement robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
Collaborate on infrastructure automation and configuration using Linux containers
Integrate and manage Cloud SQL databases, Redis, and cloud storage solutions
Contribute to DevOps best practices, debugging, and performance tuning
Interface with frontend and backend codebases, with awareness of Angular and Java/SpringBoot architecture
$50-60/hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements
5+ years in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles
Deep hands-on experience with GKE/Kubernetes (pods, replicas, deployments)
Proven track record deploying Java applications in Google Cloud Platform
Extensive use of GitHub Actions for deployments and environment automation
Familiarity with Cloud SQL, Redis, Linux-based systems, and containerized environments
Understanding of application architecture involving Java/SpringBoot and Angular null
