Job Description
This entry-level design position supports work on a major Distribution System Plan (DSP). The Technician will assist in managing distribution design projects for less complex areas, act as a liaison between customers and construction teams, clarify work for field crews, and ensure designs adhere to company standards and guidelines.
ResponsibilitiesCollect and analyze field data for utility distribution projects.Support design teams with GIS mapping and documentation.Interface with construction teams to clarify design intent.Ensure compliance with company standards.Assist in preparing design packages for review and construction.Essential SkillsExperience with GIS software, such as GE SmallWorld and ArcGIS.Willingness to work outside for field data collection.Exposure to utility design.Ability to interpret basic utility construction standards.Familiarity with utility design tools, including ED/SW, FastApp, and SAP.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in Microsoft Office.Strong communication and organizational skills.High school diploma or GED required.Two-year technical degree preferred.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.Work Environment
The position is based in Denver, CO, with a requirement to work in the office five days a week. The role involves fieldwork for data collection and site verification, and collaboration with engineers, designers, and project managers. Office locations may be at different facilities.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
