Join us. **Job Description** AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a GIS Specialist II in Austin, TX. **Job details:** + Perform analytics, leveraging interdisciplinary techniques to extract knowledge or insights from data in various forms, (either structured or unstructured) which is a continuation of data analysis fields such as statistics, data mining, and predictive analytics. + Create digital assets to support the planning, design, build, operation, and maintenance of transportation infrastructure. + Design, develop, and support digital solutions for internal and external clients. + Leverage various products and provide configuration, integration, scripting, and custom development to provide digital solutions including data collection, data storage, automation, analytics, simulation, and optimization. Incorporate spatial and tabular data to map, analysis, and assess real-world problems. + Provide geospatial and data analysis solution to internal and external clients. + Perform the realization of design in a variety of formats by translating designs, CAD, GIS, surveys, drone, video, field, and other data sources to create complex visualizations through the use of GIS, business intelligence, 3D, and other software. + Design, build, test, and roll out custom GIS web applications, field survey tools and data collection forms. + Provide technical support for web application and field survey end-users. + Develop, test, and executive custom Python and SQL scripts for data processing and analysis. + May telecommute. **Qualifications** Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Position also requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis, or 6 months of experience involving each of the following: + Esri Geographic Information System software for complex analysis and data management; + GIS web development including Experience Builder and Field Maps; + Scripting in Python with ArcPy, Pandas, and GeoPandas; + JSON and GeoJSON for editing data characteristics; + SQL for database queries and analysis; + ARCADE for map layouts; + Data processing for Lidar, raster images, 3D models, and 360 camera video; + Post-processing of GPS-derived data, and + Linear referencing for transportation networks. **Additional Information** All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
