**Job Description**
**AECOM** is seeking a **GIS/Data Specialist** to be based in the Austin, TX office.
Under supervision, the GIS/Data Specialist will be responsible for supporting a variety of geospatial and data analysis tasks for technology, transportation, and traffic applications. Join a team of experienced technology solution experts to create innovative solutions applying new and emerging technology to transportation.
This position is expected to begin as soon as possible.
**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**
+ Create and maintain accurate geospatial datasets, maps, and reports using ArcGIS Online and other GIS software, tools, and technologies.
+ Conduct data analysis to support transportation planning, design, and maintenance projects.
+ Develop custom GIS applications, scripts, and tools to improve data quality, accessibility, and efficiency using ArcGIS Online.
+ Manage and maintain applications, geospatial data, and metadata on ArcGIS Online and other platforms according to established standards and policies.
+ Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of GIS data and products.
+ Provide technical support and training to GIS users on ArcGIS Online and other GIS tools.
+ Prepare and give effective presentations.
+ Good communication skills and team spirit.
+ Work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a related field.
+ Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience in GIS analysis and application development.
+ Proficiency in ArcGIS Online and other GIS software such as Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools.
+ Experience with geodatabase management and data modeling.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
+ Knowledge of transportation systems and related data is a plus.
+ Self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills.
+ Demonstrate proficiency with ArcGIS, MS Office, and preparing graphics and visuals.
+ Demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and graphical skills.
**Additional Information**
+ Relocation assistance is not offered for this role.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $60,000.00 - $68,000.00.
