GIS Analyst I
Location: Birmingham, AL
About the Role:
Company is looking for a motivated GIS Analyst I to join their Operations Services team. In this role, you’ll use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support engineering and operations across the company. You’ll work both in the office and in the field, helping to maintain accurate mapping data, support construction projects, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
What You’ll Do:
Create engineering designs and cost estimates using GIS for gas main and service work.Collect and update “as-built” construction data using GPS in the field.Edit and maintain GIS map features and related data.Perform quality checks on GIS data before final updates.Represent Engineering in internal and external project meetings.Visit job sites to assess service and main work requirements.Review development plans and coordinate with customers.Train engineering staff on new GIS tools and workflows.Provide updated maps to other departments as needed.Manage requests related to easements and rights-of-way.Support pipeline safety compliance through GIS analysis.What You’ll Need:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Geoscience, Cartography, or a related field.Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on GIS experience.Schedule

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
