Short Description

Some of the primary duties that GI technicians perform include:

 

GI Technicians prepare rooms and equipment before endoscopic procedures and clean up and sterilize after proceduresMaintaining an inventory of equipment and supplies for endoscopic procedureEnsuring equipment functions properlyPreparing waiting and recovery rooms or procedure suitesMaintaining endoscopic equipment, including cleaning, disinfecting and calibrating instruments according to manufacturer guidelinesTransporting patients according to medical personnel instructions- Helping physicians and nurses perform endoscopic proceduresAttending training as necessary to enhance or refresh skillsCollecting specimens from patientsCollaborating effectively with other care providers regarding procedures and patients' conditionsStaying current on endoscopy developments by reading literature, speaking with colleagues or participating in professional organizationsAssists with Business Office Support duties and will be trained to EPIC applications and front desk registration & copay collection Experience Required 1 year of GI Tech experience Education Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent required License/Certification Requirements BLS from American Heart Association Special Requirements Must be willing to cross train into Pre Op and PACU as Periop PCT Salary Min ($) USD $17.50 Salary Max ($) USD $27.00 Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareRefer this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
