GI/Endoscopy Technician III - West Valley

Description
Key Responsibilities:
+ Prepare endoscopy suites with appropriate sterile supplies, instruments, and functioning equipment.
+ Assist physicians during procedures such as colonoscopies, EGDs and other endoscopic procedures.
+ Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopes and related instruments in compliance with hospital infection prevention policies and manufacturer guidelines.
+ Maintain and troubleshoot endoscopic equipment, promptly reporting malfunctions.
+ Monitor and support patent comfort and safety under nursing supervision.
+ Accurately document scope usage, cleaning logs, and equipment tracking.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area.
+ Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and HIPAA regulations at all times.
Qualifications
+ Certification as a GI Technician, Surgical Technician, or Medical Assistant - preferred.
+ minimum of 2 years experience in endoscopy and sterile processing - required.
+ Knowledge of infection control, equipment sterilization, and patient care protocols.
+ Strong organizational and communication skills.
+ Ability to stand for extended periods.
+ Manual dexterity to handle instruments and equipment.
