Checks the integrity of supplies and equipment needed for the endoscopic procedure and ensures that equipment is in proper working ordero Uses proper techniques in all phases of the procedure and at all timeso Sets up equipment and supplies and maintains organization throughout the procedureo Maintains carts and equipment in clean working condition and stores in appropriate area when completedo Assists with the positioning of patientsmiddot Works with the RN and provider to assist with appropriate care during proceduresmiddot Performs high level disinfection of endoscopic equipment and maintains scope repossessing equipment to ensure appropriate functioning following all established policies procedures and standardsmiddot May be required to support other areas of surgical services included but not limited to Point of Care testing and EKG as directed by a registered nursemiddot Transports patients equipment and assists in the collection of specimens and transport of specimens to ensure timeliness of patient needs and informationmiddot Monitors and Documents compliance with infection prevention measures in regard to scope reprocessing repairs and new equipment middot Documents
