GFX and Export Control Manager

We currently have an opportunity for a GFX and Export Control Manager. Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future. 

What You’ll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

Ensure project compliance with export control regulations, including U.S. ITAR requirements. Coordinate with government bodies to secure GFX import/export licences and approvals. Develop and maintain compliant GFX records, databases, and archive policies. Provide specialist advice on GFX, export controls, and associated risks and issues. Support awareness and compliance of Export/ITAR processes across project teams and service providers. Liaise with Defence stakeholders to manage authorisations, access controls, and information security.

What You’ll Bring

Experience in GFX management within a Defence environment. Demonstrated knowledge and application of export control regulations, particularly the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).  Hands-on involvement in developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and secure data systems for controlled materials. You must have and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
