**Overview of Growth Center:**
Global Capability Center (GCC) helps Growth centers of Xylem such as AWS, Treatment and Analytics in wide range of activities that include new product development, value engineering, sustainable engineering, and software development. We partner with them to anticipate and respond to evolving business needs with innovation in sensing and communications technologies, data analytics, and services.
**Brief Description/Job Summary:**
GCC Vadodara campus is looking to hire a Graduate Engineer Trainee (Mechanical) to support multiple new product development and other engineering initiatives in the field of plastic/mechanical product design **.** As a part of the Global Capability Center, the selected candidate will assist in executing projects that involve product development, sustain engineering, and design for assembly/manufacturing. We're looking for individuals with a strong interest or foundational knowledge in mechanical/plastic engineering who are eager to learn, collaborate, and grow.
**Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:**
+ Support the mechanical design and development of products involving plastic and metallic components.
+ Participate in tolerance stack-up studies, DFMEA, and DFM activities
+ 2D/3D CAD preparation and detail engineering using Creo.
+ Learn and adhere to design and quality standards as per project requirements.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional global teams on engineering deliverables.
**Must-Have Competencies:**
+ Solid understanding of core mechanical engineering concepts (mechanics, materials & manufacturing processes).
+ Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively in a professional setting
+ Familiarity with engineering drawings, dimensioning standards, and basic GD&T.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
**Good to Have Competencies:**
+ Hands-on experience or academic project in product design, or manufacturing
+ Hands-on experience of Creo software
+ Demonstrated leadership and technical qualities
**Qualifications:**
+ B.Tech./BE in Mechanical engineering (2025 pass-out preferred)
+ Strong academic record with marks >60% throughout academics
