About the Role
An international engineering services firm is hiring a bilingual German–Romanian professional to bridge communication between project teams in Germany and Romania. This role goes beyond translation—it’s about owning documentation, aligning processes, and enabling clarity across borders.
Responsibilities
Translate technical and project documentation between German and Romanian
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and proper technical context in all translations
Maintain and regularly update internal documents, engineering guides, and standards
Support team communication through translation of key emails, meeting notes, and process guides
Lead internal documentation reviews with engineers and project managers
Build a structured knowledge base for recurring client requirements and market differences
Travel occasionally to Germany for team alignment and training
Ensure formatting, terminology, and structure of documents match international standards
Identify communication or documentation gaps and propose improvements proactively
Requirements
Native or fluent in both German and Romanian (written and spoken)
Experience in translation, documentation, or project coordination in a technical field (engineering, telecom, architecture, or construction preferred)
Confident in taking ownership of documentation and communication workflows
Organized, proactive, and able to lead quality reviews independently
Proficient with MS Office (especially Word/Excel), PDF tools, and platforms like Teams or SharePoint
Open to feedback and cross-functional collaboration
Willing and able to travel to Germany 1–3 times per year
