Job Description
Position Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the academy’s daily operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational and therapeutic services aligned with the organization’s mission of empowering individuals on the autism spectrum. This role combines leadership in education, operational excellence, and community engagement to foster an inclusive, safe, and nurturing environment for students, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Operations
Provide visionary leadership to ensure alignment with Academy’s values, standards, and long-term objectives. Oversee all operational, educational, therapeutic, and administrative functions of the campus. Develop and implement strategic plans to drive enrollment growth, program excellence, and financial sustainability. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as with Academy’s organizational policies and procedures. Manage budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation effectively.Educational Excellence
Collaborate with academic leadership to ensure curriculum fidelity and best practices in special education. Monitor and support the delivery of individualized educational programs (IEPs) and therapeutic services. Foster a culture of continuous improvement in instructional practices, student outcomes, and staff development.Staff Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and evaluate a diverse team of educators, therapists, and administrative personnel. Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth. Recruit, onboard, and retain high-quality staff aligned with Academy’s mission and vision.Family & Community Engagement
Act as the primary liaison with parents, families, and external stakeholders. Ensure high levels of parent satisfaction through effective communication, transparency, and responsiveness. Build partnerships with local communities, organizations, and agencies to enhance the academy’s reach and impact.Health, Safety & Compliance
Oversee the implementation of safety protocols and ensure a secure learning environment for students and staff. Ensure all services meet standards of care, quality assurance, and best practices in autism education and therapy.Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Education, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of leadership experience, ideally within special education, healthcare, or a related therapeutic setting. Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex operations.Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership, organizational, and strategic planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively. Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and operational oversight. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.Personal Attributes:
