The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on engineering and geotechnical materials projects in a multi-discipline project team environment. Working in our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia office, it is expected that your technical skills will help continue the growth of the materials testing and inspection team. **Your Key Responsibilities** * Managing multiple variety of small to large material testing and inspection projects * Planning and coordinating field and laboratory testing of construction materials * Ability to interact with a wide variety of clients from owners, developers, and contractors, to aggregate, hot mix asphalt, and ready mixed concrete producer * Client management and business development * Preparation and review of proposals and technical reports * Provision of Quality Control and Quality Assurance services * Site inspection/supervision * Become actively engaged in a role with a variety of trade associations **Your Capabilities and Credentials** * Knowledge of relevant CSA and ASTM Standards related to materials and concrete would be an asset * Strong client management experience * A self-starter who is innovative and enjoy working in a team environment * The ability and willingness to travel as needed **Education and Experience** * Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering. * Professional Engineer or Certified Engineering Technologist with a minimum of 8 years of experience in contracting/consulting. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
