EXP is seeking a Geotechnical Instrumentation and Monitoring Project Manager to join our expanding Brampton, ON office.


What a day at EXP has in store for you

Manage and oversee the execution of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring projects, including installation, data acquisition, analysis, and reporting. Coordinate with clients, design teams, and contractors to develop project-specific monitoring strategies and work plans. Lead the preparation of technical submittals, schedules, and cost estimates. Supervise and support field teams in the installation and commissioning of sensors and data logging systems. Manage procurement, subcontractors, and logistics for monitoring devices and services. Ensure project compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols. Review and interpret data to ensure accuracy and reliability. Provide technical reporting and response action plan. Maintain communication with stakeholders and provide regular project updates. Support business development by participating in proposal writing, budgeting, and client meetings.

 

What your experience looks like

Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Registered Professional Engineering in Ontario (P.Eng) Minimum 7–10 years of experience in geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring projects. Proven project management experience, ideally in infrastructure, transit, or tunneling projects. Familiarity with a range of monitoring tools and platforms (e.g., VW systems, robotic total stations, T4D, GeoMoS, or similar). Strong understanding of field operations, data validation, and geotechnical interpretation. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
