We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to lead subsurface investigations, guide junior engineers, and ensure top-tier geotechnical design and inspection services.
What You'll DoDevelop comprehensive scopes of work and technical proposals.Review and interpret complex geotechnical design analyses, including:Allowable bearing capacitySettlement and consolidationSlope stabilityDeep foundation and support of excavation systemsSite-specific seismic and liquefaction evaluationsManage and mentor junior staff during subsurface investigations.Evaluate and synthesize field and lab data to produce engineering reports aligned with NYC Building Code and IBC-based standards.Conduct Special Inspections for:Deep foundation testing and installationSubgrade and controlled fill verificationIn-place density testingUnderpinning and excavation support systemsWhat You BringEducation: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (required)Experience: 4–8 years in geotechnical engineeringLicensing: EIT required; PE license preferred or on trackTechnical Skills:Geotechnical software: Slide, LPile, PLAXISAutoCAD for plan and profile reviewsFamiliarity with NYC codes and inspection protocolsCertifications: OSHA 10/30/40Why Join Us?Impact: Work on iconic and essential infrastructure projects in NYC.Growth: Collaborate with senior engineers and mentor rising talent.Flexibility: Customize your workweek to fit your lifestyle.Location: Our Lower Manhattan office offers a central and vibrant work environment.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $63.00/hr.
