General Supervisor-Maintenance

**Location:** San Luis de la Paz, Guanajuato.
**Work Mode:** On-Site
**BASIC FUNCTION**
Under the direction of the Plant Manager PI. This position will be responsible to maintain plant equipment in good working order, operate a TPM system including preventative maintenance, support manufacturing improvement through KOS and support a safe work environment.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
1.Provide leadership and direction for all individuals in the Maintenance department.
2.Responsible for directing those individuals in maintaining all facilities and equipment.
3.Monitor and maintain a TPM system including equipment preventative maintenance programs
4.Attract and hire skilled technical personnel capable of diagnostic troubleshooting and repair.
5.Coordinate equipment repairs with production supervisors.
6.Defines the required scope for establishing maintenance and repair contracts using external vendors for specific equipment.
7.Monitor annual expense budgets for the department and assist in the development of annual capital plans related to major maintenance of equipment.
8.Partner with Plant Engineering department on new equipment installations, planning plant shutdown periods to perform equipment overhauls and working with outside contractors on equipment repairs.
9.Support KOS efforts to improve plant efficiency.
10.Review training and efficiency of department personnel and establish developmental objectives.
11.Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position (See Responsibilities chart by position).
12.Ensures an efficient operation of the maintenance storeroom by promoting inventory accuracy, availability of parts when needed and the proper level of safety stock and replenishment amounts.

**RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS**
Supervisory Relationships:
1.Reports to the Plant Manager PI.
Organization Relationships:
1.Frequent contact with Production Supervisory staff.
2.Frequent contact with Safety Specialists.
3.Frequent contact with Materials.
External Business Relationships:
1. Frequent contact with outside contractors and maintenance suppliers.
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
**EDUCATION:**
Preference Bachelor’s degree with a technical major.
**EXPERIENCE:**
Preference technical major and a minimum of 5 years of supervisory or equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
**FORMATION:**
Preference Familiarity with TPM practices.
