Job Purpose
The General Seed Operator-Seasonal (IIIAA) will assist in all aspects of commercial Heinz hybrid tomato seed operations.

This role requires a normal work schedule of M-F, first shift, with overtime during peak season. Peak Season: October-February Potential weekends, on Saturday.Essential Functions & Responsibilities
The ability to maintain good housekeeping standards within the operations area. The ability to safely perform seed sanitization. This includes: Treating tomato seed Working with caustic solution Using a forklift and overhead crane The ability to safely run, clean, and maintain a variety of seed cleaning and drying machines. Machinery used: Seed Dryers Seed cleaning mills and sizers Air Columns Single unit baggers and scales Moves seed sacks and pallets to proper inventory location of seed storage vaults and to packaging area for orders. Sorts and organizes seed shipments on arrival. Ensures all products manufactured complies with the quality standards and SOPs applicable to this specific operation function.Expected Experience & Required Skills
Safely operate a forklift, electric and/or manual pallet jack. Ability to process orders or work on tasks assigned to oneself with minimal supervision and minimal errors. High attention to detail and ability to clearly record numbers & data: Work records and machinery logs. Lot numbers and tag information Inventory and/or order quantities Comfortable working in small spaces (seed dryers) that require cleaning with compressed air. The ability to work from heights of 20 feet, on a platform, or safety ladder. Must wear all required PPE for tasks and comply with LOTO policy.Work Environment & Schedule
This position is considered a Manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment.
Physical demands include but not limited to
Occasional keyboard or text input, repetitive motion, transporting of heavy objects, pushing/pulling, scaling heights, and lifting of heavy objects.Frequent upright stance and traversal of workplace.
