SUMMARY:
This position will supply managerial oversight of the manufacturing facility sanitation function to include control of the daily sanitization process, accurate record keeping and compliance with our master sanitation procedures. This position will be responsible for the daily safety of the associated team. The position must be able to effectively manage through stressful situations, and consistently make effective data driven decisions. This position is responsible for ensuring that all Sanitation Team Members possess and demonstrate the knowledge to follow all applicable personal chemical handling and food safety procedures. Will manage 3 supervisors that manage 85 hourly full-time team members.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Provide a safe workplace and comply with all safety and regulated programs.Ability to make decisions affecting financial and operational performance.The critical ability to perform the human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.Maintain a tracking system that assists in analyzing KPI’s such as chemical usage, sanitation process, cost analysis, etc.Ability to work interdepartmentally and provide functional influence in a group setting to ensure operational goals are achieved.Develop and lead peer groups through project initiatives throughout the organization directly related to the operational goals and metrics of the facility.Environmental Monitoring troubleshooting and continuous sanitation effectiveness monitoring and improvement.Identify and communicate process improvement projects.Other duties include overseeing various processing operations and working with other managers and supervisors in solving problems and keeping accurate and timely records. Providing continuous coaching and education on the importance of sanitation, quality, food safety and compliance standards.It is the responsibility of this position to ensure compliance at the facility to policies, standards, specifications, and practices that support and enhance the company’s objectives.This position will play a key role in implementing change within the organization in support of the company’s goals and objectives while operating at the highest ethical standards.REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.Experience: 3 plus years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing or industrial sanitation facility. Requires strong written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently, and must be results oriented.Computer Skills: Basic computer skills such as checking electronic mail entering data into document templates or creating simple queries. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Travel: 0 – 10% Supervisory Skills: Will manage 3 supervisors that manage 85 hourly full-time team members.Special Skills: Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Knowledge of food industry, processes and equipment and technologies. Understanding of financial indicators / analysis and experienced in budget development / management. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint. Possess strong leadership skills marked by an ability to articulate ideas, delegate appropriately, set clear goals and drive accountability. Bilingual preferred. Be a highly motivated professional able to work in a fast-paced environment who demonstrates impeccable integrity and administers sound decision-making skillsRelocation Assistance Eligible:
