This position exists to provide skilled labor and, in the maintenance, repair and alteration of the Roads and Grounds shop, at 133rd Air National Guard Base.
**Minimum Qualifications**
**-Heavy Equipment operation and maintenance experience**
**-** **Minimum of 5 years grounds maintenance and/or general repair work.**
**-** **Ability to recognize equipment problems and take immediate action to resolve them.**
**- Basic knowledge of Microsoft computer programs, including Word and Excel.**
**- Must be creative in utilizing limited manpower and resources to accomplish required maintenance and repair work.**
- Communications/human relations skills sufficient to create a positive environment and professional, cooperative working relationships.
**Preferred Qualifications**
**-Must possess a valid MN Class B driver license.**
- Experience in landscaping design and maintenance.
-Pesticide application license.
-Sprinkler system installation and repair experience
-Leadership and team experience
-Vocational Schooling in a related field
**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with various types of equipment and tools on a regular basis. Requires occasionally lifting articles of 50-pound weight maximum and frequently lifting and/ or carrying objects such as heavy tools and toolboxes. This job may require walking or standing to a significant degree on rough terrain or may involve sitting most of the time with pushing and pulling of arm and /or lag controls. Ability to climb and work off ladders. Ability to working confined spaces with limited room to maneuver. The ability to work in all weather conditions.
