**Job Title: General Production Worker** Job Description A Router Helper, also known as a CNC Router Assistant, plays a crucial support role in the CNC machining department. This position involves assisting CNC operators, maintaining machines, and performing general support tasks in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities + Assist CNC Operators: Help with running CNC routers under supervision. + Machine Maintenance: Clean and deburr machines and the surrounding work area to ensure smooth operation and safety. + General Support Tasks: Perform duties such as material handling, prepping parts, or assisting with setups. + Ensure the CNC router and surrounding area are free of debris and dust to maintain safety and precision. + Use hand tools to deburr cut plastic or rubber parts and inspect parts to ensure no sharp edges remain. + Clean surfaces with industrial cloths and solutions safe for plastics and rubber. + Remove chips and dust using shop vacuums or compressed air. + Assist in operating CNC routers according to programmed specifications. + Load and secure raw sheets of plastic/rubber onto the router bed. + Help install cutting tools and assist in zeroing the machine. + Monitor the machine for issues like tool wear or material shifting. + Remove finished parts and inspect for quality, assisting with minor finishing as needed. Essential Skills + 1-2+ years of manufacturing experience in a heavy industrial setting. + 1-2+ years of production experience with machine operating. + Proficiency with power and hand tools. + Ability to measure in metric and imperial units using a tape measure. + Capability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and general work instructions. + Physical ability to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the day. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Forklift experience is a plus. + Willingness to learn and a good attitude. + Reliability and punctuality. + Strong communication skills and a desire to be part of a team. The environment is an indoor plastics production facility with a multicultural team of approximately 50 employees. The facility features open bay doors and proper ventilation. The role requires good communication skills, and candidates will work Monday through Thursday from 5 am to 3:30 pm. Safety gear such as gloves, goggles, and ear protection is provided.
